Finish It Launch Notes
What shipped on day one — plaster, trowel, paint, co-op, and a house that needed you.
Finish It! opened on Roblox on 9 August 2026 under Moonrise Interactive (group 699155908). The pitch was a satisfying incremental sim: an unfinished house, a hopper gun, a trowel, paint, cash, upgrades, and up to 20 friends. This page is the launch recap so later patches have a baseline. Store additions after launch sit on store history. The running log is the updates hub.
What launch promised
The live description is still the best primary source. You plaster surfaces, smooth them, paint and decorate, earn money, buy upgrades (tools, carrying capacity, movement speed), and play with friends. Tags: Satisfying, ASMR, Building, Simulator. Genre flags: Simulation / Incremental Simulator. Price: free. Copying: not allowed. Avatar type: R15 morph.
Those promises match the screenshots on this wiki: first-person spray on brick, trowel close-ups, interior tile coats, a ruined pool, and two red workers on scaffolding. If a future update adds combat or pets, that is a genre shift, not “launch as intended.”
Early player questions (and answers we still use)
Is it a tycoon? Not in the classic dropper sense. You are the dropper. The house is the plot.
Is it pay to finish? Gamepasses appeared within the first two weeks (see store history) but the loop is playable F2P. Rank them on the gamepass tier list.
Are there codes? Launch marketing said like and join for updates, not “here is a code.” We still have no verified string. Codes stays empty until that changes.
Can I solo? Yes. Solo playstyle exists because launch already allowed it.
What to play first after a fresh install
The launch-era onboarding is still correct: getting started, one brick wall, trowel, shop for spray or speed, then either interiors or the pool. Do not wait for a cinematic. There isn’t one.
Community at launch
The Moonrise group already had a large member count relative to a brand-new place, which usually means the studio (or owner Indigo_blueyellow) brought an audience. That is useful for shouts and dangerous for fake code impersonators. Official links only: official links.
How to read later patches against launch
If a patch removes the trowel, the loop changed. If it adds a second lot, how to finish the house needs a second checklist. If it adds PvP, this wiki will say so in the hub, not bury it. Until then, launch Finish It is the Finish It we are documenting: finish the house.
Numbers at research time
Near a million visits, thousands of concurrent players on busy periods, a few thousand favorites, and a like ratio in the mid-80s is a healthy launch for an incremental sim, not a dead test place. Server lists showed populated 20-player instances. Those numbers will move; this paragraph is a snapshot so later “it was always huge” claims have a date.
Use current updates for live counts, not this recap. Launch notes stay still on purpose.
What launch did not include
No verified public Trello. No verified code table. No combat. No pets. No second lot. If those arrive, they are updates, not “you missed a launch feature.” Beginners should still start on getting started even if a future lobby looks fancier. The hopper gun remains the tutorial.
