Make the hopper gun and trowel pay out instead of leaving messy brick.
Most slow Finish It runs are not “bad upgrades.” They are messy coats. This guide is the mechanical deep dive: how to spray, how to trowel, and how each surface type (exterior brick, interior tile, pool concrete) fights back. Use it after how to play and before you dump cash into paint.
Spray like you mean it
The hopper gun throws a thick white stream. Stand close enough that the splash hits the wall, not the lawn. Sweep in strips the width of your screen. Overlap each strip by about a quarter so you do not leave brick “holidays” that force a return trip.
Empty tanks are why Infinite Spray is S-tier on the gamepass tier list. Without the pass, treat ammo like a magazine: finish a strip, trowel it, refill or buy capacity, then start the next strip. Spraying a whole facade on fumes leaves a stippled mess the trowel cannot save.
Trowel immediately
The trowel is not optional flavor. It is the polish pass that turns a splattered wall into a finished one. Switch as soon as a strip is coated. Hold the blade flat and drag with the same strip pattern you sprayed. If you wait until the entire house is splashed, you will lose edges, walk extra, and get in co-op partners’ way.
On brick, the trowel hides the mortar lines. On interior tile, it fills grout gaps and the metal plate bosses you can see in indoor screenshots. On the pool, it is the difference between “still a ruin” and a shine that photographs well for your house checklist.
Surface-by-surface notes
Exterior brick. Highest contrast, easiest to see misses. Start here on day one (getting started). Work top-down so drips fall onto uncoated brick you were going to hit anyway.
Interior rooms. Tighter spaces, more walking, more plate trips. Upgrade carrying capacity or grab Infinite Plates before you live in hallways. Watch your backswing — indoor sprays bounce off furniture and waste ammo.
Pool. A large, concave job with a dirty floor and stairs. Clear the floor in rings from the deep end toward the steps so you are not walking through fresh plaster. This is a terrible first job and a great second-session spectacle.
High walls and scaffolding. If the lot gives you a scaffold, use it. Jumping and spraying upward eats ammo and looks sloppy. Movement speed from the cash shop or More Speed matters more here than on the ground floor.
Co-op plaster without griefing
Two sprayers on one wall will coat each other and the grass. One sprays, one trowels, then you rotate. If a third friend joins, they become the runner: plates, shop, turret babysitting. Roles are spelled out on co-op. Solo players should plant a turret on the long axis and trowel behind it — solo playstyle.

- Movement speed / More Speed.
- Carrying capacity / Infinite Plates.
- Turrets for the boring spans.

What “done” looks like
A done wall is uniformly coated, trowel-smoothed, and ready for paint. If you still see brick, tile bosses, or pool cracks, it is not done.
