Finish It How to Paint and Decorate
The last pass of the loop — color after the trowel, not instead of it.
Paint is the finishing pass in Finish It, not the farm. Moonrise Interactive’s description puts it after plaster and the trowel: spray, smooth, then paint and decorate. This guide is for players who keep coloring raw brick, buying More Colors too early, or wondering why a painted wall still looks unfinished. Pair it with how to plaster and the house checklist.
When a surface is allowed to take color
A wall is ready when the brick, tile bosses, or pool cracks are gone and the trowel pass has flattened ridges. If you can still see red brick through white plaster, you are painting a tutorial, not a house. Cash from painted work is the bonus on top of a completed coat, not a replacement for how to earn money.
Walk the same strip pattern you sprayed. Exterior brick photographs well after a consistent color; interiors need the same discipline around furniture so you do not leave a brown tile island behind a couch.
More Colors versus the default palette
More Colors is a gamepass, not a skill. It expands the palette so the last 10% of a completion run looks designed. It does not make plaster stick, refill the hopper, or walk you to the pool. Rank it C-tier on the gamepass list until the lot is actually white.
F2P players still paint. Use the default swatches, pick one exterior color, and stop shopping mid-strip. A single cream or sky tone across a facade beats five random hues that advertise you opened the color wheel for fun.
Galaxy Skin is not paint
Galaxy Skin recasts your avatar, not the house. Buy it after a completion screenshot if you want the flex. Painting a wall while wearing Galaxy Skin does not unlock hidden pigments. The upgrade planner keeps skins in the last row on purpose.
Decorations
Decorate only on finished surfaces. Props on raw brick look like clutter and make the last 10% hunt harder because your eye treats a bucket as “done.” If the lot gives you furniture, paint around it, then place extras. Co-op crews should assign one decorator after the sprayer and troweler leave the room — see co-op roles.
Pool and interiors
The pool wants a shine pass after the floor, walls, and stairs are plastered. Do not dump color into the deep end while cracks remain. Interiors hide missed grout; crouch, look up, then paint. How to finish the house puts paint last in the route for this reason.
If you already painted too soon
Trowel anyway. A second plaster coat over a premature paint job wastes ammo, which is why spray and plates exists as a resource page. Then paint once. Codes, if they ever appear on codes, should not be spent on colors.
There is still no verified paint-only YouTube walkthrough for this exact experience. We will not embed a restoration or GTA clip to fake one. The loop on this page is the official order: plaster, trowel, paint.
Co-op color rules
Agree on one exterior hue before anyone opens the wheel. Two friends painting the same facade two colors is how you spend a session arguing instead of troweling. The decorator role on co-op roles owns the last pass; sprayers should already have left. If randoms dump rainbow on your wet coat, finish another face — do not start a chat war over More Colors.
VIP does not unlock a secret house pigment. VIP playstyle is a tag, not a palette. x2 Gems does not double paint quality. Spend gems on the same bottlenecks as cash: spray, then carry, as listed on spray and plates.
